A love of surfing. A place to welcome you.
Flow grew from Jordy’s love of teaching into surf coaching, stays and adventures shared with people from around the world. We’re based on Costa Rica’s Southern Pacific coast, and we’d love to show you around.
How Flow began
Teaching since he was 13.
Helping people learn in the ocean has been part of Jordy’s life for more than half of it.
At 16, Jordy started Tico Surf School. He later co-founded Sunset Surf with a business partner, growing a school in Dominical focused on beginner and intermediate lessons.
Those first waves still matter to us. So does getting to know a returning surfer and seeing what they’re ready to work on next.
Flow gave Jordy room to bring more of those ideas together: individual coaching and training, a place to host guests, and help planning the rest of their time in Costa Rica.

A home in Dominicalito
Two containers. A garden. And Zion.
Jordy designed Zion’s House and built it with his brother using two shipping containers and locally sourced wood. The yard began as clay and swampy ground. He designed, planted and cared for the garden that guests settle into today.
Then there’s Zion, our world-famous dog. He lives on the property and has been known to walk guests to the beach and keep watch beside their things while they surf. Some guests know about him before they’ve even met Jordy.

Jordy leads the surfing and works with other local coaches to welcome first-timers, families and surfers looking for more focused training. Some families come back every year. Watching the kids grow and the parents paddle out again is part of what we love.
Our team also helps connect stays, transport and adventures. Some guests want a few recommendations; others want the details coordinated before they arrive. Your dates, interests and budget help us choose what fits.
