Some places make it easy to arrive and immediately plan another outing. Zion’s House also gives you a reason to stay put for a while: a garden, room to sit outside and a short walk down to Dominicalito Beach.
It’s a one-bedroom home best suited to a solo traveler or couple who wants a smaller base close to the coast. You can build surf lessons and adventures around it, or enjoy the stay without booking anything extra.
A house Jordy built with his brother
Jordy designed the house and built it with his brother using two shipping containers and locally sourced wood. When the project began, the surrounding ground was clay and swampy field rather than the garden guests see today.
He developed the yard as part of making the house somewhere people could settle into. That hands-on beginning is a piece of the larger Flow story, which grew from surf teaching into hosting and helping guests plan their time here.
The house has its own character because it was built around that idea of living near the beach, rather than simply providing another room for the night.
What the stay is like
The setup includes one bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and living space, with a private yard and places to spend time outside. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi are part of the stay; Flow’s Stay page lists Starlink.
The current listing describes a queen bed and accommodation best suited to two guests. If you’re considering an additional person, ask about the arrangement before booking instead of treating the living-room couch as another bedroom.

The house has a fairly memorable namesake
Zion lives here and has a habit of becoming part of a guest’s visit. He sometimes walks with people to the beach and keeps them company while they spend time by the water.
He’s a dog with his own routine, so there’s no need to plan your day around a promised appearance. If you’re uncomfortable around dogs or have an allergy, mention it before choosing the stay.
His beach company also isn’t a belongings-security service. Bring only what you need and make a sensible plan for anything you leave while surfing.
Add surfing without filling every hour
Staying close to Dominicalito makes it practical to combine the house with beginner lessons at the same beach. Your lesson still has its own confirmed meeting point and time, chosen around the conditions.
For a coaching trip, share what you’re practicing and how many sessions you want before building the rest of the week. Being nearby helps with logistics; it doesn’t mean every tide will suit your level.
You can also leave a day for a waterfall visit or whale-and-dolphin trip. Our relaxed seven-day itinerary helps keep those plans from crowding the stay itself.
Choose the home that fits your trip
If you need several bedrooms, want a larger group to gather or prefer an ocean-view villa setting, compare Casa de Olas on the Stay page. Zion’s appeal is its smaller setup and proximity to Dominicalito Beach.
You can check available dates on Airbnb and book there, or contact Flow for a direct quote and its reservation terms. A message doesn’t reserve dates until the booking is confirmed.
Tell us who’s coming and what kind of week you’re hoping for. We can help connect the house with surfing, transport and an adventure or two, while leaving room to enjoy the garden.
Let’s find your stay.
If Zion’s is unavailable or you need another setup, share your dates, group size and what you’re looking for through the Flow Planner. We’ll help find a place that fits and plan any surf sessions or adventures around it.
